As well as gaining knowledge of the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of children, students are instructed in the practical skills of childcare within a safe and healthy environment, and tuition on how to introduce children to opportunities and experiences to encourage their potential through play, creativity and educational activities.

There is also particular value and time placed on personal and professional development.
