One of the reasons I was initially attracted to The Nanny Centre was because their advertisement had the word "fun" written in blocks. I was not let down. I had fun from day one of the course. I was worried that although I had had some previous babysitting experience my lack of knowledge in childcare would put me behind. I needn’t have worried as over the 24 week course I, along with my 23 classmates, was taught virtually every aspect of childcare and home management. The staff were incredibly supportive and encouraging the whole way. I couldn't have asked for better tutors. By the end of the six months I had completed 10 weeks practical experience and confidently looked after a number of children ranging from 2 months to 12 years of age. The way the course is structured was fantastic as it allowed the class to continually combine our classroom theory work with practical childcare experience. The Nanny Centre's motto, "Build yourself building others" is exactly what I found the course to be. As well as learning about childcare a lot of time was spent on building healthy relationships, boosting self esteem and encouraging support. This was an invaluable part of the course and opened the way for wonderful friendships to develop.
Thanks to my training at The Nanny Centre I am now employed as a full time nanny for a 3 1/2 year old girl. I love going to work every day and the satisfaction it brings. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in a career in childcare."
