Established in 1989, Mahurangi Technical Institute has evolved to become Rodney's largest Private Training Establishment, and was awarded the School of the Year 2005 by the Coastguard on behalf of the Royal Yachting Association.

Established in 1970 Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) is a fundamental piece of Manukau City and the exceptional services it has to offer.  Located just off the southern motorway on the parameter of Papatoetoe and Otara, MIT has strong foundations and an ideal campus for any student.
